Bluegrass Wednesday’s continues March 20  with the Lillian Sawyer Band at the Annex of Gastro Mania in Multnomah village. 7-9PM. $5 cover.

Lillian Sawyer and her band had a very successful sh0w when they played here in November. I’ve had many requests to have then return so here they are!

The Lillian Sawyer Band, led by local fiddler and Berklee College of Music alumnus Lily Sawyer, is a supergroup made up of some of Portland’s best and hottest pickers. Joining her on guitar is Joe Suskind (Never Come Down); on mandolin, Josiah Payne (Bigfoot Mojo); and on bass, Rob Wright (Dogwood String Band). Phenomenal musicians in their own right, the band has come together to showcase the unique talents of each of its’ members. Be prepared for a night of new and exciting original music in addition to screaming fiddle solos, ripping mandolin breaks and hard-driving bluegrass guitar.

The Annex @ Gastro Mania offers a limited dinner menu of Mediterranean food and a fully stocked bar. Come to this great setting and listen to classic  bluegrass and have some good food!
