Fabulous bluegrass singer (and guitarist / bassist) Jered Widman rounded up a bunch of the usual suspects including Zak Borden (on mandolin and vocals), Josh Adkins (on bass and vocals), and your truly (on banjo and vocals), to play some bluegrass music at a benefit for the Foundation for Tigard Tualatin Schools.
The event takes place this coming Saturday (9/29/18) at Ancestry Brewing (located at 20585 SW Tualatin – Sherwood Rd Tualatin, Oregon 97062), and our portion of the show runs from 4 to 5 PM. The event goes from 2 to 8 PM, so there are lots of other things scheduled besides the bluegrass music.
Here is a link to the Facebook page describing the event (with links that provide all the info):
From what I can gather, the admission charge of $25 (purchased in advance, $30 purchased at the door) includes a glass and 10 “tasting tokens” good for either food or drink or both (I’m not sure about this detail).
Maybe those of you feeling philanthropic about the education of Oregon’s kids will decide to come and check out the music, food, and drink (and support some of the local school systems too).
