As part of their Summer Reading Program, The Roseburg City Library is hosting local Roseburg-based musician/storyteller Joe Ross with a fast-moving, interactive family show for all ages. The theme of the Summer Reading Program varies from year to year. Ross will not only play bluegrass and campfire songs but tell stories about heroes from other lands. Free admission.

Roseburg Library’s Summer Reading Program encourages children to read for fun. Kids sign up at the library. They receive a book bag with a reading log, stickers, and bookmark. Children (through age 12) use the log to keep track of the minutes they’ve read. Toddlers can also participate by having parents or siblings read to them and keep track of minutes read. Free books and a chance to win prizes will be given to each child during Summer Reading Program.  Children will receive a reward from the prize box on each visit if they have read at least 15 minutes.  Check your local branch library for their rewards.  Bring your reading log to the library!
