This long-running fiddle contest held March 21 at Chemeketa Community College in Salem, Oregon is open to fiddlers from all states and countries and all skill levels.  There are several different age categories and each “round” consists of a hoedown (square dance type tune), a waltz (in 3/4 time), and a tune of the fiddlers choice which is not a hoedown or a waltz ( rag, polka, jig, schottische, etc.)  Come and enjoy fiddling with excellent accompanists, be a volunteer, or be an audience member – or best of all, be all 3!  For information and/or to register call or text 503-701-1578, or email gdaewalt@comcast.net
