An Easter season show of Bluegrass Gospel Music with the Umpqua Valley Bluegrass Band. Free admission. Umpqua Valley Bluegrass Band features banjo, mandolin, fiddle, guitar, upright string bass and 3-part vocal harmonies. Band members are Gene Hodson, Liz Crain, Francis Stephenson and Joe Ross. Members have many years of experience playing many styles of music. The group formed in 2010 when they saw a classified ad for a “Bluegrass Band Needed for Pig Roast BBQ.” Umpqua Valley Bluegrass Band now plays frequently at festivals, fairs, restaurants and special occasions throughout the greater southern Oregon region. Check out their new CD, “Old-Growth Bluegrass.”

The free event sponsored by the Sutherlin Library. All ages welcome! C. Giles Hunt Library in Sutherlin is located at 210 E Central Ave, Sutherlin, OR 97479. An acoustic Bluegrass Gospel jam session will follow from 3 – 3:50 pm after the band’s show.
